DENNIS M. HOTTELL is a certified Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He has more than twenty-five years experience in matrimonial and family law, and has been featured in the Family Law Section of "The Best Lawyers in America." Although Mr. Hottell is involved in all of the firm's cases, he is especially gifted in his representation of clients in complex custody issues, an area in which he has authored and lectured throughout his career. His practice includes custody and visitation rights, premarital, marital, separation and property settlement agreements, child support, spousal support, division of assets, and retirement benefits. Mr. Hottell has been a leader in the Virginia State Bar including serving on the Disciplinary Board, Bar Council, and the Board of Governors of the Family Law Section. Mr. Hottell has authored handbooks and articles and lectured at various CLE programs throughout the state and locally on many family law and legal ethics topics. He obtained his undergraduate and law degree from Gonzaga University and then moved to Northern Virginia where he resides with his wife and three children. hottell@hottell.com
